Many people don't know me and how very fortunate I have been in life to have wonderful parents that could always support me when I needed it. But it has been a blessing and curse to be spoiled all your life. In the end I have to learn on my own how to be independent. I truly believe that sometimes it is better to learn on your own. But it also powerful to ask others about their experiences and struggles. Luckily I have a man that will always support me. And he grew up the total opposite being homeless and dead broke. He always reminds me of how good I have it to have food and shelter and four jobs...instead of collecting cans and donating blood to make money.
Sometimes I get really stressed when I come to my last few dollars and have no where to turn to but waiting for my next check or tips. But I pray everyday to God that everything will be okay. And I have put it in his hands to take care of me. He knows more than I do what I need. So through this period of my life I'm learning to not worry or want money. And to just appreciate what I have and know that life is not about having the latest gadgets, cars, cell phones, clothes, etc. But about loving others like your family and friends. To learn how to build your community into a better place.
Me and my boyfriend have been reading alot of books...The Power of Positive Thinking, The Power of Now, The Miseducation of a Negro, Smart Cookies Guide to Making More Dough...And we have decided to start a movement. Just like Obama said..Change just with us. We're coming up with big ideas. It will take a while before it starts to come out. So stay blessed!!
